Scientific Impulse Mandate (MIS)
Two candidates from the University of Namur, Olivier Sartenaer (Department of Sciences, Philosophies and Societies, ESPHIN Institute) and Alison Forrester (Department of Biology, NARILIS Institute) have been awarded a prestigious scientific impulse mandate (MIS). This 3-year funding aims to support young permanent researchers who wish to develop an original and innovative research programme by acquiring scientific autonomy within their department.
FRIA/FRESH doctoral grants
Eight new FRIA fellowships and two new FRESH fellowships will be funded through this 2022 call, which is a success rate above the overall average for the UNamur PhD students.
Other funding
Other funding for ambitious projects has also been obtained. These include
- equipment funding (EQP) that will allow the acquisition of a 400MHz NMR spectrometer
- a Weave research project (PDR-Weave) introduced in the framework of the FWO (Flanders) call for projects entitled "Junior and Senior Research projects - Weave 2022", which will allow collaboration with researchers from ULB and the Dutch-speaking community of the country.
Numerous researchers from UNamur are thus rewarded within the framework of this prestigious selection carried out independently by the scientific commissions of the FNRS. Congratulations to them!
