This visit is part of the Philippine Studies programme organized by UNamur under the supervision of Professors Sabine Henry and Isabelle Parmentier and funded by a grant from the Government of the Philippines.

Indeed, the University of Namur was chosen by the Government of the Philippines, along with seven other universities in the world, to promote different facets of Philippine Studies in Belgium and Europe.

The "Philippine Studies" programme is an opportunity to highlight the collaborations that researchers at the University of Namur have been maintaining for many years with several universities and researchers in the Philippines and thus to contribute to the international influence of Philippine studies. The programme, which includes several components and activities that will take place between now and the end of June, is also an opportunity to explore new avenues of collaboration at the academic, cultural, and political levels.

The meeting, which was cordial and fruitful, also allowed for an exchange of views on several current issues and to discuss future projects.
