For 20 years, this service has been supporting researchers throughout their careers. Part of the team helps them to find funding and carries out important and necessary monitoring work with the various funding bodies (FRS-FNRS, European Commission, Walloon Region, etc.). These experts support researchers in setting up projects at the administrative, strategic and legal levels, as well as in drafting collaboration contracts.

Another part of the team is dedicated to promoting research results. These experts help to identify results that can be exploited and to protect intellectual property. Researchers can also find support in filing patents. Awareness-raising sessions are regularly organised on this theme, in the form of conferences or events to raise awareness in the research community of the need to protect research results.

Finally, a business developer acts more specifically as a link between UNamur and the business world by supporting the development of spin-offs. The exploitation of university research plays an important role in the implementation of innovation projects. It enables major advances to be made in many fields, helping to maintain the competitiveness of our companies and boosting the region's economic development.

The Research Administration is also part of a network of counterparts from other universities, the LiEU Network (Liaison Entreprises et Universités). This network enables the development of collaboration and synergies between the 6 universities of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and socio-economic players.

This anniversary was an opportunity for the Research Administration to share a convivial moment as a team, but also to plan future actions and collaborations. The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Walloon region have decided to support ADRE by granting funding of more than €2 million over 3 years for the MIRVALIS project.

This funding will perpetuate the actions already underway and enable ADRE to continue its role of supporting researchers and consolidating university skills in the service of Wallonia's socio-economic players.
