The preparatory courses are adapted to each study programme to ensure a gradual adaptation to university teaching.

By following a preparatory course programme, students have the opportunity to :

  • revise the subjects that are essential for their first year of study
  • discover a new form of teaching
  • understand the requirements of their future course
  • make their choice of direction
  • familiarise themselves with the campus and life in Namur
  • meet future teachers and study friends

Choosing a sustainable university and education

UNamur is strongly committed to sustainable development.

Its active contribution to the environmental transition involves not only the sustainable management of its campus and infrastructure, but also the training of its students and researchers, who will become responsible players in our society.

Both in terms of teaching methods and content, all of UNamur study programmes stimulate reflection, involve contradictions and encourage students to ask themselves questions about the issue of sustainable transition and the commitment they can devote to it.

It is with this in mind that a brand new study programme specifically dedicated to this theme will open its doors in September 2024: the Specialised Masters in Sustainable Development.

Student dormitory for sustainable development projects, the solidarithèque, energy efficiency, reducing inequalities, sustainable mobility, responsible consumption, societal impact, awareness-raising actions... with the 17 sustainable development objectives defined by the United Nations as its guiding principles, the UNamur is involved and takes action every day to ensure that tomorrow is better than today for human, animal and plant life and the Earth that hosts us.
