For those who don't know you yet, can you introduce yourself?

I come from Franche-Comté, a French region close to Switzerland, I have been living in Namur for 3 years. I chose UNamur for its campus in the city center, its human and benevolent side as well as for the proximity that the students have, among themselves or with the academic staff. For two years, I held the position of Sport Delegate. I was an ambassador for the Faculty of Medicine for a year. And I'm also going to start my second year at within the student council of the University of Namur.

In everyday life, I like to play sports, especially tennis and skiing, go out or travel. I'm always afraid of getting bored and always need to keep busy!

What are your plans or priorities for the AGE this year?

First of all, after a period marked by the Covid, this year is the one where events such as the Bunker for preparatory courses, the Back-to-School Bunker or even Saint-Nicolas for students return. In addition to these events, there are many projects that we wish to launch, relaunch or renew. We hope, for example, to relaunch rock classes, welcome packs or even back-to-school jogging for the bachelor’s degree students.

How do you envision your role as president?

I think the main role of the president is to stimulate a dynamic within the team. Added to this is a coordination role so that teamwork goes well because it is by working together that we will be able to carry out all our projects.

What are the strengths of the new team?

The strengths of the team are both the people who have already spent a year at AGE and who can always be counted on, as well as the new arrivals bringing a real breath of fresh air. The fact that the members of the new team have already been able to work together with the help of the old office on the “Bal des busés”, for example, has allowed us to create a great group cohesion even before starting the year. With more parity in the team this year, as well as the different backgrounds and characters of each, we are going to have a great complementarity and it is necessary to work as a team!

What do you expect from this experience as president of the AGE, what would you like it to bring you?

First of all, I would like this experience to bring me many memories with my team and the Namur animation collectives. The two previous years have already been very rewarding, it can only continue on this good momentum. In addition to the personal fulfillment that it brings me, I will surely come out of it grown and having acquired new skills that will serve me later in the professional world.

A word for your predecessor, Mathias Soumoy?

Thank you to Mathias Soumoy for supporting me and encouraging me to apply for this position as well as for all his wise advice! I would also like to thank Thomas Bouillon, who gave me the opportunity to join the AGE two years ago and who has always given good advice as well.

UNamur allows you to flourish in any field, whether academic or extra-academic, so enjoy!
