Invited by Mrs Annelies Verlinden, Minister of the Interior, they attended the military and civilian parade in Brussels, in the presence of His Majesty the King. Welcomed in one of the official stands, they were able to enjoy the spectacle alongside representatives of other Belgian universities and colleges.
After the royal family's departure, the students were invited to a small reception in the grounds of the Palace for a meeting with the Minister of the Interior. This was an opportunity to remind them of the importance of their presence.
It was quite a surreal experience, but it was a pleasure to represent the University of Namur on the occasion of the King's 10th birthday. It was great to be able to share this experience with Anna.
