ERASMUS+ BIP programme

International training week for ERASMUS+ Joint Intensive Programme (BIP) staff

The theme of the training course was "The challenge of inclusion in Europe: the contribution of Jesuit HEIs". Participants had the opportunity to share moments of exchange with members of the Kircher network, attend conferences, workshops, share good practice and propose joint projects.

The BIP programme, funded by the European Union, is organised by the Kircher network's group of international managers and will bring together experts in inclusion and diversity to encourage discussion and establish new cooperation agreements between the various institutions.

Kircher - The network of Jesuit higher education institutions in Europe and the Middle East

The aim of the Kircher network is to strengthen the sense of shared apostolic mission among its member Jesuit institutions in all aspects of academic life.

  • Teaching, through the exchange of staff and students, and the development of joint programmes;
  • Research, through collaboration in areas of particular relevance to the Society's apostolic preferences, such as forced migration, ecology, poverty alleviation, inter-religious dialogue and Ignatian studies;
  • Life according to the Ignatian charism, making available to students and staff the resources of Ignatian spirituality for inspiration, hope, constructive reflection and pedagogical practice;
  • Administration, through the creative pooling of resources and the sharing of experiences of good practice, particularly in relation to collaboration between Jesuits and their apostolic partners;
  • In association with the Society of Jesus, by promoting fruitful links with Jesuit superiors and with other Jesuit services within the framework of the mission of Christ's Church - notably centres for social reflection and cultural journals.
