The challenge of bringing together researchers in the field of didactics and education is to enable the production of collective publications on current issues in education. In July 2022, the REF meetings were organised by UNamur in collaboration with UMons. At UNamur, the IRDENa institute (Institut de Recherche en Didactiques et Éducation) was in charge. This institute is made up of researchers from different faculties and departments offering a multidisciplinary approach. Its objective is to amplify the synergies between researchers in education sciences and didactics. The mission of these researchers is to promote the emergence of new research objects and methodologies, from various disciplinary backgrounds.
An expanded edition
In addition to the two traditional days of symposia, which brought together 500 researchers in 32 symposia, the organizing committee added two related events:
- A doctoral students' day, as in the previous edition in Toulouse, which allowed forty doctoral students to present the state of their research;
- A day of conferences on the challenges of research in teacher training. This day brought together 150 participants, international researchers and education stakeholders from the Belgian French-speaking world. Its aim was to provoke debate between the world of research and the world of teaching.
The sunshine, the quality of the scientific exchanges and debates, the healthy and varied food and the friendly atmosphere were the ingredients of a more than successful edition.
